It’s an online platform where residents living in the Newcastle and surrounding areas sign up to be Lean in Newy members and earn points by taking challenges like helping out in their neighbourhood, volunteering for charities or supporting local businesses. See more
How many challenge points do I need to redeem an offer?
100 points = $1. So you would need to earn 400 points to redeem a voucher worth $4, e.g. ‘buy one coffee, get a free coffee’. See more
Are there any costs to businesses involved?
Throughout the Coronavirus response and recovery phase the City of Newcastle is covering all setup costs and will provide a full rebate on the cost of the discount every time a resident redeems an offer. See more
As part of getting ready to help within Lean In Newy you can choose to undertake a challenge that will include information on volunteering rules and principles, and work health and safety. See more
